NDSI: Basic Diagnostics for Nissan and Infiniti Cars
NDSI is a full version application that provides basic diagnostics for Nissan and Infiniti cars built between 1989 and 2000, which have a grey 14-pin Consult I connector located near the fuse box. The app supports both petrol and diesel cars and communicates with the engine ECU using Consult II protocol, which is far more comprehensive than the generic OBDII or ISO9141 protocol.
The app offers data display with data logging, self-diagnostics, dash display with customizable gauges, and video recorder functions. The video recorder feature saves an mp4 video file along with accompanying data log file, which can be used with overlay software such as RaceRender to generate videos with custom data visualization. A Bluetooth or USB diagnostic adapter is required to connect to the car, and USB adapters based on FTDI or CH340 chips are supported.
